This project is focused on fungi in the phylum Mucoromycota, which contains three sub-phyla: Glomeromycotina, Mortierellomycotina and Mucoromycota. There are hypothesized to be the earliest terrestrial transition from biotrophy to saprotrophy in the kingdom of fungi.
